The Certificate II in Equine Studies course is designed for senior secondary school students with a passion for horses, to contribute to their VCE and ATAR results. The course aims to prepare students for work in the horse industry and provides participants with the knowledge and skills to achieve competencies that will enhance their employment prospects in the equine or equine related industries.
Students will learn about horse handling, feeding and husbandry, safe work practices as well as learning about the breadth of equine industry and the employment opportunities.
Students can achieve a 1-2 and 3-4 VCE unit sequence, with scored assessment equivalent to a full VCE subject.
