Horse Riding Instructor's Course Geelong
Saddle On is pleased to be able to offer young enquine enthusiasts in Geelong, Werribee, Williamstown and Laverton the opportunity to study for horse riding instructor courses. As the only riding school in Geelong that is a Registered Training Organisation, you can study for Certificate III (Course SIS303710) and Certificate IV (Course SIS40510) in Sport Coaching (Equine Studies) -as part of your VCE school studies.
If you’re interested in equestrian courses and horse riding courses in Geelong, Williamstown, Werribee and Laverton you can gain a National Qualification recognised within the Australian Qualifications Framework, issued under the authority of the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority.
To become a coach/instructor you can do 34 units of equine coaching to complete the Certificate III, or you may choose to do the first 10 units and become a stable-hand. This is ideal if you’re thinking of buying your first horse and taking Werribee horse riding classes.
The next 19 units of equestrian coaching have a high theory base and focus on becoming an assistant instructor. The final five units teach you to become an equestrian coach/instructor. If you do part of the course you will receive a Certificate of Attainment that outlines the units you've completed.
“If you live in these areas you can also do a first aid course or update your first aid qualification. There is one first aid unit: HLTFA301B – Apply First Aid. This unit also forms part of the Cert III and Cert IV courses”.
